Daniel Gibson

Daniel Gibson transitioned from a standout collegiate basketball player to a seven-season NBA career with the Cleveland Cavaliers, and has since engaged in diverse projects including coaching, reality television, and music. After an impactful collegiate career at the University of Texas at Austin, where he earned Big 12 Freshman of the Year honors in 2005, Daniel Gibson went on to distinguish himself in the NBA before embarking on a diverse professional journey. During his two seasons as a guard for the Longhorns, Gibson scored 935 points, made 175 three-point field goals, and set a school record with 101 three-pointers in the 2005-2006 season. He was recognized as a two-time Third-team All-Big 12 selection in both 2005 and 2006, and was named to the Big 12 All-Defensive Team by the media in 2006.

His sophomore year also earned him Honorable Mention All-America by The Associated Press. Gibson was drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the second round as the 42nd overall pick in the 2006 NBA Draft. He dedicated his entire seven-season NBA career (2006–2013) to the Cavaliers, excelling as both a point guard and shooting guard. In his rookie year, he led all rookies in three-point field goal percentage with an impressive 41.9%.

More recently, Gibson has channeled his expertise back into the sport of basketball through coaching and player development. He has worked with the Cleveland Charge, contributing his insights and experience to the team, and continues to collaborate on player training initiatives.
