About

Daniel Sharman was born in Hackney, London, on April 25, 1986. He began his acting career early, working with The Royal Shakespeare Company. Sharman later trained for three years at The London Academy of Dramatic Art, graduating in 2007. Following his training, he participated in numerous theatrical productions across London and Europe. His early career saw him audition for significant projects, and he made the decision to move to Los Angeles in 2011 to further his acting pursuits. He established himself as an actor in both the theater and on screen, balancing his personal life with his professional development.

Sharman gained wider recognition for his television roles. From 2012 to 2014, he appeared in the TV series “Teen Wolf” as Isaac Lahey for 31 episodes. Following this, he took on the role of Kaleb Westphall / Kol Mikaelson in “The Originals” from 2014 to 2015, appearing in 12 episodes. His film credits include playing Ares in “Immortals” in 2011. He continued to build his career with roles such as Lord Edwards in “Mercy Street” (2017) for 2 episodes and Troy Otto in “Fear the Walking Dead” from 2017 to 2023, featuring in 22 episodes. Sharman also portrayed Lorenzo de’ Medici in the TV series “Medici” from 2018 to 2019 across 16 episodes, and The Weeping Monk in “Cursed” in 2020 for 10 episodes.

In addition to his acting, Sharman has engaged in producing, co-producing two short films: “The Juilliard of Broken Dreams” in 2015 and “Soon You Will Be Gone and Possibly Eaten” in 2016. He also served as a producer for the short film “Simularity” in 2017. His career progressed with roles such as Kelly Lord in “A Town Called Malice” (2023) for 8 episodes and Eric O’Connors in “The Fix” (2024). Sharman continues to work in both Los Angeles and London, contributing to various projects across film and television.
