Daniel Suarez

Daniel Suárez has transitioned from a successful career in NASCAR’s developmental series to becoming a pioneering figure in the Cup Series, achieving significant milestones as a Mexican-born driver. After making history as the first foreign-born driver to claim a major NASCAR National Series title with his 2016 Xfinity Series Championship, Daniel Suárez went on to establish himself as a pioneering figure in the NASCAR Cup Series. Suárez began his racing career in karting in 2002, securing a class championship in 2007. In 2008, he became the youngest driver to win a race in the preliminary NASCAR Mexico Mini-Stocks series.

The following year, 2016, he captured the Xfinity Series Championship. He then moved to the NASCAR Cup Series in 2017, driving for Joe Gibbs Racing, later for Stewart–Haas Racing, and Gaunt Brothers Racing. In 2017, he won the final stage of the Monster Energy Open, advancing him to the All-Star Race, and secured his first career Cup Series pole at Pocono in 2018. In 2021, Suárez joined Trackhouse Racing, a team co-owned by Justin Marks and Pitbull, where he has achieved historic wins.

Off-track, he became a dual citizen of Mexico and the United States in June 2024, reflecting his significant cultural reach. He has also lent his voice to animated films and made appearances in television and movies, extending his influence beyond the racetrack.
