Daniil Aldoshkin made a significant debut on the world stage by earning an Olympic silver medal in the men’s team pursuit event at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing. During his Olympic participation, Aldoshkin showcased his comprehensive skill set, securing an impressive 5th place finish in the Men’s Mass Start and a notable 14th position in the Men’s 1500m, demonstrating his versatility across various disciplines. This pinnacle achievement followed a strong performance in 2021, when he secured a first-place finish in the 1500-meter race in division B at the second stage of the World Cup in Stavanger, Norway, on November 21. His foundational development was shaped under the tutelage of coach Viktor Sivkov, where he honed his abilities particularly across long-distance events ranging from 1500m to 10000m, drawing inspiration from speed skating icon Sven Kramer.
Aldoshkin, an Olympic silver medalist, maintains a rigorous and intensive training regimen in Kolomna, dedicated to advancing his world-class speed skating abilities. He continues to be recognized for his exceptional achievements in both team pursuit and individual long-distance events, a testament to his disciplined approach and competitive drive. Complementing his athletic career, Aldoshkin is also actively pursuing academic growth as a part-time student in the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports at the State Social and Humanitarian University in Kolomna.
