Lisa Ashton

Lisa Ashton is a distinguished English professional darts player, renowned for her exceptional talent and contributions to women’s darts. After securing four BDO Women’s World Championship titles in 2014, 2015, 2017, and 2018, Lisa Ashton established herself as a dominant force in women’s darts, accumulating over 100 titles in British Darts Organisation (BDO) and World Darts Federation (WDF) events since beginning her career in 1992. Her early career saw her win the Women’s Zuiderduin Masters in 2008 and the Winmau World Masters in 2011. Following her groundbreaking 2014 BDO World Darts Championship win, Ashton defended her title in 2015, also securing the BDO World Trophy that same year.

Ashton continued her streak of success, winning the BDO World Trophy again in 2016, where she also set a record three-dart average for a televised women’s match of 98.85. She added her third BDO World Championship in 2017 and her fourth in 2018. Her dominance extended to the World Masters, which she won consecutively in 2018 and 2019, alongside her third BDO World Trophy title in 2019. In a historic move in 2020, Ashton became the first woman to earn a Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) Tour Card through Q-School, marking a significant milestone for women’s darts.
