About

Dante Daniel Bonaduce was born on August 13, 1959, in Broomall, Pennsylvania. He began his career as a child actor, appearing in commercials and television shows such as “Bewitched” (ABC, 1964-1972) and “Mayberry R.F.D.” (CBS, 1968-1971). His most prominent early role came in 1970 when he was cast as Danny Partridge, the wisecracking, redheaded middle son in the popular TV sitcom “The Partridge Family.” In this role, he played the bass guitarist for the fictional family band. The series ran for four seasons, concluding in 1974, and generated significant merchandise and related projects, including the animated series “Partridge Family 2200 A.D.” (CBS, 1974-75), where he reprised his voice role. For his work on “The Partridge Family,” Bonaduce received the Young Artist Foundation’s Former Child Star “Lifetime Achievement” Award in 2003, recognizing his early contributions to television.

Following his time on “The Partridge Family,” Bonaduce continued to pursue acting roles, appearing in films like “Corvette Summer” (1978) alongside Mark Hamill and making guest appearances on television series such as “CHiPs.” In the early 1990s, he transitioned into radio, beginning an overnight shift at Philadelphia’s WEGX-FM. He later hosted “The Danny Bonaduce Show” on The Loop WLUP in Chicago from 1994 to 1996, and a morning radio show on WKQI in Detroit from 1996 to 1998. His broadcasting career included a stint on “The Adam Carolla Show” in 2007 and hosting “Broadcasting Bonaduce” on KLSX in Los Angeles. From 2011 to 2023, Bonaduce co-hosted the morning-drive show for Seattle radio station 102.5 KZOK. Aside from his radio work, he hosted the syndicated talk show “Danny!” during the 1995–96 TV season and co-hosted “The Other Half” from 2001 to 2003, a daytime talk show.

Bonaduce has also appeared in various reality television programs, showcasing aspects of his personal life and career. He starred in the VH1 reality show “Breaking Bonaduce” in 2005, which documented his life with his then-wife Gretchen. He also served as a commentator for TruTV’s “World’s Dumbest…” from 2008 to 2013 and hosted “Starface” on the Game Show Network. His career has involved interactions with sports entertainment, including boxing matches against figures like Donny Osmond and charity events, and professional wrestling appearances in events like Total Nonstop Action Wrestling’s Lockdown 2009. In December 2023, he announced his retirement from Seattle radio, concluding a significant chapter in his diverse career.
