Dave Coulier

Dave Coulier was born on September 21, 1959, in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. He began his career in stand-up comedy during high school, performing impersonations for his classmates. After attending the University of Michigan, he left to dedicate himself to comedy full-time, moving to Los Angeles at age 19. There, he performed at The Comedy Store, working alongside notable comedians like Jay Leno, David Letterman, Jerry Seinfeld, and Robin Williams.

Coulier gained widespread recognition for his role as Joey Gladstone on the ABC sitcom “Full House,” which he starred in from 1987 to 1995. He reprised this role in the spin-off series “Fuller House” from 2016 to 2020. Beyond live-action performances, Coulier has an extensive career in voice acting, lending his voice to characters such as Peter Venkman in “The Real Ghostbusters” (1987-1991) and multiple characters including Baby Animal and Baby Bunsen in “Muppet Babies” (1986-1991). He also hosted “America’s Funniest People” from 1990 to 1994, showcasing his humorous and observational style.

His career also includes writing and producing, with credits on “Can’t Get Arrested” (2011) and “Live + Local” (2022) as an executive producer, and writing for “Fuller House” (2016) and “Just for Laughs” (2003). Coulier continues to tour as a stand-up comedian and launched the “Full House Rewind” podcast in 2023, sharing behind-the-scenes stories from the popular sitcom. In his personal life, he is a private pilot, an avid ice hockey fan, and has engaged in various charity events.
