Brazilian professional football player David Luiz, a member of the Flamengo club, has been named BC.GAME's official brand ambassador. Luiz will partner with BC.Game to increase brand awareness via its social media platforms, with the company aiming to connect with Brazil's massive football community. David Luiz Moreira Marinho was born on April 22, 1987, in Diadema, São Paulo, Brazil. His football career began at Vitória, where he initially struggled as a defensive midfielder but found his position as a central defender. He made his official debut for Vitória in 2006. In January 2007, Luiz moved to Portuguese club Benfica on loan, later signing a permanent deal for €1.5 million. He spent five seasons with Benfica, becoming a vital player and vice-captain, and was named the Portuguese Liga Player of the Year in 2009–10.
In January 2011, Luiz transferred to Chelsea for €25 million, where he quickly became a fan favorite. He played a crucial role in Chelsea’s UEFA Champions League victory in 2011-12 and the UEFA Europa League win in the following season. In June 2014, he moved to Paris Saint-Germain for a world record transfer fee for a defender, £50 million, winning all four domestic competitions during his two seasons in France. He returned to Chelsea in August 2016 for £30 million, securing another Premier League title in 2016-17 and a second Europa League title in 2018-19.
Luiz continued his career with Arsenal in 2019, where he won the FA Cup in 2020 and the FA Community Shield in 2020. In September 2021, he returned to Brazil to play for Flamengo, winning the Copa Libertadores in 2022 and the Copa do Brasil in 2022 and 2024. After a brief spell with Fortaleza in early 2025, he joined Cypriot First Division club Pafos in August 2025. Internationally, Luiz made his debut for Brazil in 2010 and earned over 50 caps, including winning the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup and reaching the semi-finals of the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
