David Schwimmer

David Schwimmer is an actor, director, and producer renowned for his enduring role in the sitcom ‘Friends’ and a career spanning theater, film, and television. After co-founding Chicago’s Lookingglass Theatre Company in 1988 with seven fellow Northwestern University graduates, David Schwimmer quickly established himself in film and television. He made his television debut in the film ‘A Deadly Silence’ in 1989, followed by early roles in ‘L.A. Law’ (1992), ‘The Wonder Years’ (1992–1993), and ‘NYPD Blue’ (1993).

In 2016, Schwimmer received his second Primetime Emmy Award nomination for his compelling performance as Robert Kardashian in ‘American Crime Story: The People v. O. J. Simpson.’ He continued an active presence in television, starring in the Sky One/Peacock comedy series ‘Intelligence’ from 2020 to 2023, and taking on a role in the ‘Goosebumps’ series in 2023.

In 2021, he reunited with the original cast for the highly anticipated ‘Friends: The Reunion’ special. Beyond his expansive entertainment career, Schwimmer is a dedicated advocate for social causes, serving on the Board of Directors of The Rape Foundation for 25 years. He is also actively involved in combating antisemitism, having provided an insightful contribution to the 2022 documentary ‘Jews Don’t Count’. Schwimmer is slated to star in ‘Goosebumps’ Season 2, set for release in 2025.
