David Yost is the strong and inspiring actor best known for his work as Billy Cranston or the Blue Ranger in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers TV Series and and Power Rangers Zeo. The only cast member to appear in every single episode of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Yost’s history in gymnastics really came in handy bringing this teenage superhero to life, and his characters catchphrase-Affirmative- sprung his own clothing line, the Affirmative Clothing Company, a brand that promotes a positive outlook on life, and affirming oneself to the world.
Yost moved to California with hopes of being an actor, and within three months, he had already smashed his way onto screens as the beloved Blue Ranger, starring in almost 200 episodes of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers; his character never changed his colours or passed on his power coins to successors like the rest of the original cast. However, it was his appearance in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie, which was released in 1995, that remains his most high profile work, with the film raking in over $60 million at the box office.
However, aside from his work with the Power Rangers, Yost is also a successful producer in his own right, and first began producing for the television film The Mary Kay Letourneau Story, which was released in 2000. He can also be recognised for his guest appearances in other television films, such as Scene Of The Crime, or the short film The Order, alongside other former Power Ranger co-stars, which was released in 2017. Yost also regularly tours the convention circuit due to his work with Power Rangers, and attends Comic Cons across the world.
