Daxton Hill is an American professional cornerback for the Cincinnati Bengals, recognized for his collegiate achievements and his transition within the NFL secondary. After earning the prestigious Gatorade Football Player of the Year award for Oklahoma in 2019, Daxton Hill continued to establish himself as a standout athlete, participating in the 2019 U.S. Army All-American Game as a five-star recruit. He committed to playing college football at the University of Michigan, where he made significant contributions as a defensive back.
During his true freshman season in 2019, Hill played in 13 games with three starts, recording 36 tackles and one interception. He further excelled as a sophomore in 2020, starting six games and accumulating 46 tackles alongside another interception. His collegiate career culminated in 2021 when he achieved first-team All-Big Ten honors, solidifying his status as a top prospect ahead of the NFL Draft. Following his successful tenure with the Michigan Wolverines, Hill declared for the 2022 NFL Draft, where he was highly sought after.
His momentum, however, was unfortunately cut short due to a torn ACL sustained in Week 5. Despite the setback, the Cincinnati Bengals affirmed their long-term commitment to Hill by exercising a fifth-year option on his contract in April 2025, effectively securing his services for the 2026 season with a valuation of $12,682,000, underscoring his vital role in the team’s future defensive plans.
