Early in his career, Binkley was discovered by Rick Dees, leading to his role as a series regular on ‘Into the Night with Rick Dees.’ This exposure paved the way for significant film roles, including projects directed by Mel Brooks, Clint Eastwood, the Coen Brothers, and Woody Allen. He further cemented his acting presence by portraying Harold Skolnick in ‘Revenge of the Nerds 3’ (1992) and ‘Revenge of the Nerds 4’ (1994), alongside his portrayal of Don Knotts in the NBC movie ‘Behind the Scenes of Three’s Company.’ Binkley’s television career expanded significantly with the role of Kenny James in the Emmy award-winning pilot of ‘My Name is Earl,’ a character he played in 20 episodes during the show’s four-year run from 2005 to 2009.
