Dennis Prager

Dennis Prager is a nationally syndicated radio talk show host, author, and co-founder of PragerU, valued for his conservative commentary on political, economic, and sociological topics. After achieving national recognition as a spokesman for the Student Struggle for Soviet Jewry in 1969, a role that involved extensive lecturing and travel to approximately sixty countries to advocate for Soviet Jews denied emigration, Dennis Prager went on to co-author the acclaimed book ‘The Nine Questions People Ask About Judaism’ in 1975 with Joseph Telushkin, a publication that garnered significant readership. He earned a B.A. in Anthropology and History from Brooklyn College in 1970 and continued his education as a fellow at the Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs from 1970 to 1972, also taking courses at the University of Leeds.

From 1976 to 1983, Prager led the Brandeis-Bardin Institute, where he became known for his moral commentary against secularism and narcissism. In 1982, Prager launched his broadcasting career, hosting ‘Religion on the Line’ on KABC (AM) in Los Angeles. The program quickly achieved high ratings and subsequently evolved into a popular weekday talk show. He continued his successful collaboration with Joseph Telushkin, publishing ‘Why the Jews?

The Reason for Antisemitism’ in 1983. Expanding his reach into print media, Prager began contributing a syndicated column to newspapers and introduced his quarterly journal, ‘Ultimate Issues,’ in 1985. The journal was later renamed ‘The Prager Perspective’ in 1996, reflecting its evolving focus. Throughout the 1990s, Prager’s media presence expanded significantly.

More recently, Prager has expanded his literary contributions with ‘The Rational Bible’ series, releasing commentaries on ‘Exodus’ in 2018 and ‘Genesis’ in 2019, which offer his insights into foundational texts. As a nationally recognized thought leader, Dennis Prager maintains his role as a prominent voice in American media.
