Deshaun Watson

Deshaun Watson is a professional Football quarterback for the Cleveland Browns, known for leading the Clemson Tigers to a national championship and achieving Pro Bowl honors in the NFL. After leading the Clemson Tigers to their second national championship in 2016, securing a comeback victory over Alabama in the College Football Playoff National Championship, Deshaun Watson earned Offensive MVP honors with 420 passing yards and three touchdowns in that pivotal game. Watson consistently delivered record-breaking performances throughout his collegiate career, becoming the first player in college football history to achieve over 4,000 passing yards and 1,000 rushing yards in a single season in 2015. He was a Heisman Trophy finalist, finishing third in 2015, and won the prestigious Davey O’Brien Award twice (2015, 2016), the ACC Player of the Year (2015), and the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award (2016).

In 2022, Watson was traded to the Cleveland Browns, where he secured a landmark five-year, $230 million fully guaranteed contract, marking one of the largest and most robust contracts in NFL history for a quarterback. Most recently, Watson’s tenure with the Browns has been impacted by injuries. He suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon in 2024, which sidelined him for the remainder of that season. A subsequent re-rupture in 2025 has potentially sidelined him through the 2025 season.
