Diane Farr

Diane Farr was born in Manhattan, New York City, on September 7, 1969. She cultivated an early interest in performance, beginning her modeling career at age 12. Her academic pursuits led her to study drama at New York’s Stony Brook University and Loughborough University in Leicestershire, England, where she earned a joint Bachelor of Arts degree. Farr started her acting career in the early 1990s, gaining recognition for her diverse roles across various television series.

Farr’s television career includes significant roles such as souvenir business owner Amy DeLuca in the science-fiction series “Roswell” (1999–2001), police detective Jan Fendrich in “The Job” (2001–2002), and firefighter Laura Miles in the comedy-drama series “Rescue Me” (2004–2005). She further solidified her presence on screen as FBI profiler Megan Reeves in the police procedural “Numb3rs” (2005–2008), appearing in 60 episodes. More recently, she has taken on the role of firefighter Sharon Leone in the procedural drama “Fire Country” (2022–present), a series in which she has also directed an episode in 2024.

Beyond her acting, Diane Farr is a published author, with two books to her name: “The Girl Code” (2001), which explores the dynamics of single women, and “Kissing Outside the Lines” (2011), a memoir detailing her experiences with interracial marriage. She has also contributed articles to prominent magazines such as “Glamour,” “Esquire,” “Maxim,” and “Cosmopolitan,” and maintains an internationally syndicated newspaper column for the International Herald Tribune. Farr co-founded a greeting card firm and previously co-hosted the MTV advice show “Loveline” for 200 episodes.
