Diego Tinoco

Diego Alejandro Tinoco was born on November 25, 1997, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to a Mexican father from Michoacán and an Ecuadorian mother from Quito. Tinoco began his acting career in 2015, making his debut in the short film “Drizzle of Hope” as Marco. This was followed by a guest appearance in the popular TV series “Teen Wolf” in 2016, where he played Mateo in one episode. These early roles set the groundwork for his future career in television and film.

Tinoco’s breakthrough came with his casting as Cesar Diaz in the Netflix series “On My Block,” which premiered in 2018. He portrayed a central character in the series for all 38 episodes across its four seasons (2018-2021). The show gained significant popularity, allowing Tinoco to secure further acting opportunities. During this period, he also appeared in the 2017 short film “Welcome to Valhalla” as Diego. Following the conclusion of “On My Block,” Tinoco took on the role of Tybalt in the 2021 romantic drama film “R#J,” a modern adaptation of Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet.” His career continued to advance with key roles in major film productions, including playing Nero the Phoenix Knight in “Knights of the Zodiac” (2023) and Felix in “Bad Hombres” (2024). He also contributed a voice role as Javier in the animated TV series “Hailey’s On It!” in 2023.

Beyond acting, Diego Tinoco has developed his own entrepreneurial and creative projects. He is the founder of “The Actor’s Campus,” an initiative aimed at teaching aspiring actors, and has launched his own clothing brand, Sangre Mia. He also hosts “On My Pod” and has released music. In 2019, he received a nomination for Choice Summer TV Actor at the Teen Choice Awards, recognizing his work on “On My Block.” In 2023, People en Español Magazine named him one of their “50 Más Bellos” (50 Most Beautiful), acknowledging his growing influence and appeal.
