Dino Ciccarelli

Despite going undrafted in the NHL Entry Draft, Dino Ciccarelli established himself as a prolific and aggressive goal-scorer, making an immediate impact on his career. After leading the OMJHL with 72 goals and 142 points in 68 games during the 1977-78 season, earning him a spot on the OMJHL Second All-Star Team, Ciccarelli was signed as a free agent by the Minnesota North Stars on September 28, 1979. He debuted in the NHL during the 1980-81 season, quickly recording 18 goals and 30 points in just 32 games. That same year, he shattered rookie playoff records with 14 goals and 21 points, a performance that was instrumental in guiding the North Stars to the Stanley Cup Final.

The following season, 1989-90, saw him record an impressive 41 goals for the Capitals. His career then led him to the Detroit Red Wings, who acquired him on June 20, 1992. With Detroit, Ciccarelli achieved his seventh 40-goal season in 1992-93 and scored his landmark 500th NHL goal on January 8, 1994, before helping the Red Wings reach the Stanley Cup Final in 1995. Ciccarelli continued his illustrious 19-season NHL career with stints at two other franchises.

He holds a singular distinction as the only undrafted player among the elite group of just 17 individuals in NHL history to record 600 goals, 1,200 points, and 1,200 games played, underscoring his tenacious journey and consistent offensive impact throughout his tenure in professional hockey.
