DJ Boof originated from Brooklyn, New York City, the birthplace of Hip Hop. Growing up, he observed influential figures in DJing such as Tony Touch, Funk Master Flex, and DJ Mr. Cee. This exposure ignited his interest in the craft, leading to a focus on how music can control and engage a crowd. His musical range is extensive, encompassing Hip Hop, R&B, Caribbean music, Jazz, Pop, EDM, Alternative, and Rock genres. This broad expertise enables him to cater to a diverse audience and set him apart in the competitive DJ landscape.
His career has been marked by significant collaborations and media appearances. For nearly a decade, DJ Boof has served as the main DJ for artists such as Nicki Minaj and Fabolous, whom he has known since their mixtape days. He has also worked with Pop Smoke and inspired JAY-Z to dance. His work extends to television and radio, where he has made appearances on FOX, BET’s 106 & Park, Power 105.1FM Radio, Shade45 Sirius XM Radio, Queen Radio, Apple Music, The Source Magazine, and AOL Video. Notably, DJ Boof was a long-time studio DJ for “The Wendy Williams Show” and has also worked on the “Jerry O’Connell Show.”
