DJ Paul, a Grammy and Academy Award-winning artist, producer, and entrepreneur, has established himself as a prominent figure in hip-hop and various business ventures. After establishing himself as a pioneering DJ in Memphis and co-founding the iconic Three 6 Mafia, DJ Paul went on to achieve an Academy Award for Best Original Song and become a Grammy Award-winning artist, producer, and entrepreneur. DJ Paul began his career in 1988 as a DJ, subsequently forming The Serial Killaz with Lord Infamous in 1989. Paul handled production, creating beats for Infamous’s raps and selling self-recorded tapes like ‘Portrait of a Serial Killa’ (1992) and parts of ‘Come with Me 2 Hell.’ He released solo mixtapes from ‘Volume 1’ to ‘Volume 16,’ gaining recognition in Memphis for his innovative inclusion of original tracks.
This led to his collaboration with Juicy J, and together with Lord Infamous, they founded Three 6 Mafia in 1993. The group self-released their debut studio album ‘Mystic Stylez’ in 1995 before signing a major label deal with Relativity Records and establishing their own label, Hypnotize Minds. Three 6 Mafia achieved significant commercial success with their 2000 album, ‘When the Smoke Clears: Sixty 6, Sixty 1,’ which debuted at number six on the Billboard 200 and achieved platinum certification. DJ Paul released his debut solo studio album, ‘Underground Volume 16: For da Summa,’ in 2002.
