Douglas Costa is a widely recognised professional Brazilian footballer, who is best known for playing as a winger for Serie A club Juventus, as well as the Brazilian team internationally. Costa is renowned for his skill and speed, especially his ability to dribble with the ball and cross the ball accurately and with pace. Costa began his football career with Gremio, before transferring to Shakhtar Donestsk in 2010. With the team, he won several trophies and titles, before moving to Bayern for a 30 million euro fee where he went on to win two league titles consecutively.
In 2017, Costa was loaned out to Juventus, impressing many in his first season as he won a domestic double in his debut year with the club. Owing to his success with the team, Juventus signed Costa permanently in 2018, signing for 40 million euros. Since then, he has proved his worth by winning another two consecutive league titles and a Supercoppa Italiana title. In 2020, Costa made his 100th performance for Juventus in a victory over Lazio.
As an international player for Brazil, Costa played for his national team at the 2015 Copa America and the 2018 FIFA World Cup held in Russia.
