Dr. Robyne Hanley-Dafoe is a multi-award-winning psychology instructor and resiliency expert, dedicated to empowering individuals and organizations with strategies for emotional well-being and optimal performance. After being recognized with the 2015 Award for Excellence in Teaching, Dr. Robyne Hanley-Dafoe went on to establish herself as a leading expert in human resiliency and performance, accumulating over 18 years of university teaching and research experience.
Currently, Dr. Hanley-Dafoe serves as an instructor and faculty advisor in the Trent University School of Education, an instructor in Psychology, and a senior educational developer in the Centre for Teaching and Learning. Through these roles, she provides practical, research-informed strategies for navigating stress, change, and enhancing personal well-being, emphasizing that resiliency is an embodied way of navigating life’s challenges rather than merely ‘bouncing back.’ Her distinguished career continued to gain recognition, earning her the 2018 Award for Educational Leadership and Innovation. Dr.
Hanley-Dafoe authored her critically acclaimed book, ‘Calm Within a Storm: A Pathway to Everyday Resiliency.’ This publication provides readers with a sustainable model for everyday resiliency, identifying common obstacles and offering actionable methods to overcome adversity. Extending her reach beyond traditional formats, she developed ‘Stress Wisely Labs,’ an interactive webinar designed to empower individuals with effective stress management techniques, and launched her podcast, ‘Resiliency Redefined,’ further disseminating her research-informed content to a broad audience.
