Andraya Michele Howard, known professionally as Draya Michele, was born on January 23, 1985, in Reading, Pennsylvania. She gained initial public recognition as a social media personality and for her relationship with entertainer Chris Brown. Her public profile further developed through her participation in reality television. In 2011, Michele joined the inaugural cast of VH1’s “Basketball Wives LA,” which documented the lives of women in relationships with professional basketball players. She remained a cast member for four seasons, departing at the end of the show’s fourth season in 2015. This period on reality television provided a platform for her to launch various entrepreneurial and acting ventures.
Simultaneously with her television career, Michele ventured into design and acting. In 2011, she launched her swimwear line, Mint Swim, which later expanded its reach through a partnership with PacSun.
