Dylan Scott Robinson, born on October 22, 1990, in Bastrop, Louisiana, embarked on his country music career at 19 by moving to Nashville. His debut single, “Makin’ This Boy Go Crazy,” released in June 2013, spent 10 weeks on the Billboard Country Airplay chart, reaching number 54. This initial success was followed by the release of his extended play, “Makin’ This Boy Go Crazy” (also known as “Dylan Scott” EP), in February 2014, which peaked at number 50 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. His early work showcased a blend of country sounds with an emphasis on personal narratives.
Scott achieved a significant milestone in the summer of 2016 with “My Girl,” a song dedicated to his wife, Blair Robinson. This track became his first number-one record and subsequently earned Platinum certification, selling over 1,000,000 copies. His self-titled debut studio album, “Dylan Scott,” released in August 2016, debuted at number five on the Top Country Albums chart. Following this, his single “Hooked” reached number two and was certified Gold, further solidifying his presence in the country music scene. His career continued to progress with releases like the “Nothing to Do Town” EP in 2019, which included the hit “Nobody,” and an EP titled “An Old Memory,” featuring covers of Keith Whitley songs, demonstrating his respect for country music heritage. He has consistently delivered charting singles, with “New Truck” and “Can’t Have Mine (Find You a Girl)” both reaching number one on the Country Airplay chart, and has earned multiple RIAA certifications for his singles and albums.
In recent years, Scott has expanded his career beyond music through strategic brand partnerships. He became a national ambassador for Ford Trucks and partnered with Jockey as a brand ambassador, supporting their Made in America Collection. These collaborations highlight his appeal to broader audiences and his alignment with established American brands. In 2023, he performed the national anthem and a pregame concert at the USFL Championship Game, further extending his reach. With multiple chart-topping hits and album releases, including “Livin’ My Best Life” (2022) and “Easy Does It” (2025), Dylan Scott continues to be an active presence in country music, blending his Louisiana roots with contemporary influences.
