Elizabeth “EG” Daily is an American actor, voice artist, and singer best known for voicing characters in some of the most endearing films and shows of recent years. For 17 years, she was the voice of Tommy Pickles, the star of much-loved Nickelodeon cartoon Rugrats and its sequel All Grown Up. On the big screen, she voiced the title role of Babe: Pig in the City as well as Baby Mumble and additional voices in Happy Feet and Happy Feet 2. She has been a part of so many childhoods, whether voicing Buttercup in The Powerpuff Girls or the title character of Julius Jr, that her place in animation history is assured.
However, Daily is also an accomplished live-action actor and has appeared in films such as My Sister’s Keeper, Cutting Room and Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure.
But before most of this happened, Daily also had a successful career as a singer. During the mid-to-late 1980s, she had US Dance number one hit with ‘Say It, Sat It’, collaborated with disco music pioneer Giorgio Moroder and Jellybean (who also produced Madonna, Michael Jackson, and Whitney Houston), and had songs featured on the soundtracks of iconic period films such as Scarface and The Breakfast Club. This part of her career took on an added level of cool when her songs were used on one of the radio stations in Grand Theft Auto III. In 2013, she appeared as a contestant on NBC’s The Voice, winning the attention of judges CeeLo Green and Blake Shelton, making the knockout stages, and proving that her voice is as strong as ever.
