Eliana Johnson, born Eliana Yael Johnson around 1984 in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota, began her career in journalism after graduating from Yale College in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. Her early professional experience included roles as a staff reporter for The New York Sun, where she focused on higher education, and as a research associate at the Council on Foreign Relations. She also gained production experience working at the Fox News Channel.
