Ellie Darcey-Alden was born on September 4, 1999, in Oxford, England. Her acting career began locally, leading to her first television role in BBC’s “Tess of the D’Urbervilles” in 2008. She then appeared in BBC’s “Robin Hood” as Mary in 2009 and had a recurring role as Emma Walker in BBC’s “Holby City” the same year. Her theatrical work includes “Aladdin” at the Oxford Playhouse in 2007 and a revamped production of “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” at the New Theatre Oxford in 2009. She also participated in the Mardi Gras Challenge, a UK dance competition, in 2009.
Darcey-Alden gained significant recognition for her role as Young Lily Evans in “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2,” released in 2011. Following this, she took on the role of Francesca Latimer in the “Doctor Who” 2012 Christmas special, “The Snowmen.” Her film career includes a cameo in the British thriller “Welcome to the Punch” in 2013, and roles in short films like “Pranks” (2012) and “Sam & Isobel” (2014). She also began her producing career, co-producing the short film “Gettin’ the Scoop” (Completed) and serving as a producer on “Support Group” (2023) and “Lapin” (2024). In 2022, she and her brother Joseph Darcey-Alden became U.S. citizens.
