Emmanouil Zerdevas

Emmanouil Zerdevas is a distinguished Greek water polo goalkeeper, an Olympic silver medalist, and a pivotal player for Olympiacos. After contributing to Vouliagmeni’s Greek Cup victory in the 2016–17 season, Emmanouil Zerdevas went on to establish himself as a prominent figure in international water polo, renowned as a distinguished Greek water polo goalkeeper. During his tenure with Vouliagmeni from 2015 to 2018, his exceptional performances earned him the Greek Championship Goalkeeper of the Year award in the 2016–17 season. He also secured a gold medal at the Youth World Championship in Belgrade in 2017, marking an early career international success.

Zerdevas made a significant advancement in his club career by transferring to Olympiacos in 2019. As a pivotal player for the club, he has achieved immense domestic success, securing six consecutive Greek Championships from the 2018–19 season through 2023–24, and six consecutive Greek Cups across the same period. He also contributed to three Greek Super Cup victories in 2018, 2019, and 2020. His club accomplishments include playing a key role in Olympiacos reaching the LEN Champions League runners-up position in the 2018–19 season.

He was also recognized as a member of the World Team by total-waterpolo in 2023. In 2024, Zerdevas represented Greece at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, contributing to the team’s 5th place finish.
