Eric Mabius

Eric Mabius, an accomplished actor known for bringing depth to a diverse range of roles, made his film debut in 1995 in Welcome to the Dollhouse, portraying a teen rock star. His career quickly gained momentum, leading to appearances in over 27 films, with seven screening at Sundance, and more than a dozen television projects. Early film roles included a high school gang leader in Black Circle Boys (1997), a blackmailed prep school athlete in Cruel Intentions (1999), the lead in The Crow: Salvation (2000), and a policeman in Resident Evil (2002). Mabius established his acting foundation through concentrated study in acting, writing, and film theory at Sarah Lawrence College, which prepared him for early Off-Broadway theater productions.

Mabius garnered significant television recognition through his series regular role as Tim Haspel in The L Word, appearing from 2004-2006 and again in 2009. He further solidified his presence on network television starring as the womanizing executive Daniel Meade in Ugly Betty from 2006 to 2010, a role that led to his inclusion in People magazine’s ‘Sexiest Men Alive’ list in 2006. Beyond his acting pursuits, Mabius has a background in sports, having competed as a luger in the late 1980s, and was named an honorary captain for the US luge team for the 2010 Winter Olympics. Since 2013, Mabius has been a consistent and beloved presence on the Hallmark Channel, leading the popular Signed, Sealed, Delivered film series as Oliver O’Toole.
