Erica Hubbard is a model and actress recognized for starring in ABC Family’s hit drama series, Lincoln Heights, portraying Cassandra “Cassie” Sutton. As a model, she rose to fame as the “Noxzema Girl,” but has appeared in magazines ranging from YM, Ebony, Honey, to Seventeen.
At the ripe age of nine, Hubbard was cast in major advertisements for reputable companies like Kellogg’s, Sears, McDonald’s, Reebok, among others. Fast forward to college, Hubbard graduated in just three years from Columbia College and landed her TV debut as a host for the children’s show, Up N’ Running. This role started her career with a bang, since she earned a “Service to America Award” from the National Association of Broadcasters, and even a Regional Emmy Award.
Throughout her career, Hubbard has had over twenty television credits, including guest-star appearances on popular series like Chicago Med, CSI: Miami, ER, Everybody Hates Chris, and more. But she’s also landed main roles; besides Lincoln Heights, Hubbard lent her voice to the Disney animated series, The Replacements, portraying Abbey in the first season. More recently, she starred as Kita Whitmore in the BET series, Let’s Stay Together.
As for film, Hubbard’s had minor roles in many teen classics, such as Save the Last Dance, A Cinderella Story, and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. But one of her biggest parts was playing title role’s sister in Akeelah and the Bee. She’s even dabbled in voicing videogame characters in The Walking Dead.
Outside of entertainment, Hubbard founded The Erica Hubbard Foundation to help children in susceptible communities.
