Fabian Edwards

Fabian Edwards was born on March 24, 1993, in Kingston, Jamaica. He and his family relocated to England, settling in London and then Aston, Birmingham, where he later discovered mixed martial arts. Edwards began his MMA journey at 16, several years after his older brother, Leon Edwards. Before turning professional, he amassed an amateur record of 9 wins and 0 losses. During his early career, Edwards supported himself by working as a janitor and a carpenter, balancing these jobs with his training until he signed his first professional contract.

Edwards made his professional debut in May 2017, securing a first-round knockout victory via a flying knee at Bellator 179 against Rafał Cejrowski. He then compiled a series of five consecutive stoppage victories under the BAMMA promotion, demonstrating his skill with finishes including rear-naked chokes and body kick knockouts. This impressive start led him to sign a multi-fight deal with Bellator MMA. Over subsequent years, he continued to compete in Bellator, facing various opponents and securing significant wins, including a unanimous decision victory over veteran Lee Chadwick in 2019 and a memorable knockout against former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Lyoto Machida at Bellator 281 in 2022.

His career saw progression with a title eliminator win against Gegard Mousasi at Bellator 296 in 2023, though he later faced a setback in a title fight against Johnny Eblen at Bellator 299. In 2025, Edwards joined the PFL Middleweight Tournament, where he showcased his prowess by winning the championship. He secured a technical knockout against Impa Kasanganay in the quarterfinals, followed by a unanimous decision win against Josh Silveira in the semifinals. Edwards culminated his tournament run with a head kick knockout victory over Dalton Rosta in the 2025 PFL Middleweight Tournament Final, achieving a significant milestone in his professional fighting career.
