Cameron Clayton, known professionally as Farrah Moan, was born on September 11, 1993, in Houston, Texas. She attended Klein High School in Houston. During her teenage years, she relocated to Austin, Texas, where she began her drag career with the help of a friend. Prior to drag, Clayton had an online presence as an internet personality under the alias “Cameron Ugh” on Myspace. Her initial significant drag performance was as a runner-up in an “Austin’s Next Drag Superstar” contest. During her time performing in Austin, fellow drag queen Cynthia Lee Fontaine supported her by helping her secure bookings at local venues.
Farrah Moan gained wider recognition in 2017 when she was announced as a contestant on the ninth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race, which premiered on March 24, 2017. She finished in eighth place. Following her participation, she was referenced in the first episode of season ten of Drag Race, and later met Christina Aguilera, her idol, in a bonus clip. In September 2018, she performed as a background dancer for Christina Aguilera at Opening Ceremony’s Spring 2019 collection, alongside other Drag Race alumni. In November 2018, it was revealed that Farrah Moan would compete in the fourth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race: All Stars. She placed ninth overall in this competition. She has also made cameo appearances, including in Men.com’s scene ‘Girls Night Part 3’.
Her career continued with diverse projects and collaborations. In 2018, Farrah Moan was photographed with Shea Couleé for Manny MUA’s Lunar Beauty palette. She appeared as a guest for the first challenge in the premiere of season 11 of Drag Race. In December 2023, Clayton publicly stated that she is a trans woman, having begun her transition approximately five years prior in 2019. Throughout her career, she has consistently been active in media, appearing in various web series and music videos, further solidifying her presence as a prominent figure in entertainment.
