With her versatile voice and her unique talent, Faye Mata’s body of work involves an iconic array of characters. As a world-renowned voice actor, the chances of Mata being the voice of one of your favourite characters is incredibly high. The Los Angeles native has worked as a voice actor on a series of high profile films, TV shows and video games, mostly specializing in anime and manga. Her distinctive vocal style has made her the face of innocent, daydreamer characters that are as loveable as they are captivating. Perhaps her most recognizable role is that of the trail-blazing Lulu in League of Legends. However, Mata is also known for a host of other iconic roles, including but not limited to Aqua in Isekai Quartet, Rin Hosizora in Love Live! And Kagami Tsurugi on Mircaulous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir.
Mata’s talents lie beyond her acting capabilities as she is a keen gamer herself. In the past, Mata would compete in semi-professional competitions under the gamer moniker ‘Princess Aura’. Throughout her gaming career, Mata competed in a series of renowned tournaments all over the world, including the televised competition aired on SYFY titled WCG Ultimate Gamer and various Pokémon Worlds. In the 2016 EVO Pokken tournament, Mata came 17th out of 1165 competitors, demonstrating her prowess as well as delighting fans with her showmanship. As well as boasting numerous awards, including a People’s Choice Award for Best Female Supporting Vocal Performance, it is clear that Mata is a true star no matter what she decides to do.
