With over 100 film credits in total over her glittering career, Felissa Rose is an American actress famous for her starring roles in horror movies. Her major film credits include the lead role in Robert Hiltzik’s cult classic Sleepaway Camp, The Perfect House, Zombie Night, Death House, Silent Night, Victor Crowley and Camp Dread. Rose is also a talented producer who has produced the horror film No Solicitors (2016) and music videos for heavy metal band Slayer.
Hailing from New York, Rose knew she wanted to perform from a young age. She landed the iconic role of transvestite murderer Angela in the cult classic Sleepaway Camp in 1983 when she was just 13 years old. She later attended New York University’s Tisch School of Arts followed by The Lee Strasberg institute where she began her formal training to become a serious actress. Rose performed in several plays around Manhattan including Phone Sex, M.Butterfly, Othello and Limbo and continued her film work in
Woody Allen’s Another Woman in 1988.
In 2003 Rose returned to the world of horror films, starring in the movies Horror, Scary Tales: The Return of Mr. Longfellow and Zombiegeddon, cementing her status as one of the most popular actresses of the horror genre. Rose then returned to the Sleepaway Camp franchise in 2008, reprising her infamous role as serial killer Angela Baker. Starring in numerous horror films from Death House to Victor Crowley (the 4th Hatchet film) in the past decade, Rose remains an A-lister amongst the horror film community.
