Gabriela Lopez was born and raised in Dothan, Alabama. Her acting career began with her role as Carlita in the ABC Family movie “Teen Spirit” in 2011, which is now available on Disney+. Following this, she appeared in other productions such as UPtv’s “Coffee Shop” in 2014 and Disney’s “Million Dollar Arm” in 2014. A notable role for Lopez was portraying Lizbeth, the best friend of Cassie Sullivan (Chloe Grace Moretz), in Sony’s film “The 5th Wave” in 2016.
Beyond her acting work, Lopez expanded her involvement in the film industry through production. She wrote, starred in, and produced the award-winning short film “Unrelated” in 2015, demonstrating her capabilities across multiple aspects of filmmaking. More recently, she produced and starred in “Divine Air” in 2023, alongside Josh Pafchek. Her television presence has included a recurring role on the Disney+ series “The Crossover,” with season one wrapping in 2023.
In addition to her work in front of and behind the camera, Gabriela Lopez is actively involved in film education and professional development.
