Gary Dourdan is an American actor best known for his role as Warrick Brown in CBS’s Golden Globe-nominated series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
Pennsylvania-born Dourdan developed a love for performance in his youth, particularly in music, acting and martial arts. He soon moved to New York and spearheaded his career playing in local New York City bands and performing on stage in regional theatre.
Dourdan caught his big break after being spotted Debbie Allen, who subsequently cast him in A Different World, an Emmy-nominated show by Bill Cosby, in which he played Shazza Zulu. The early ’90s were an exciting time for Dourdan, who appeared in the music video for Janet Jackson’s 1993 record Again, playing her love interest. Soon after, Dourdan became an in-demand talent, winning roles in Weekend at Bernie’s II, The Paper, New York Undercover, The Office, The New Adventures of Superman, Thursday, Alien Resurrection, Scar City, Cold Feet and Soul Food, among others.
Dourdan was cast in his most notable role to date in 2000, playing Warrick Brown in crime series CSI: Crime Investigation. In the years since, Dourdan has become a celebrated actor, appearing in Filmore!, Kim Possible, Perfect Stranger, Fire!, Christine, Mistresses, Glee, Being Mary Jame, All She Wrote and Influence. With several movies currently in production, the Screen Actors Guild Award-winning actor has much to look forward to in the coming years and shows no signs of slowing down.
