Gary Jones first established his professional versatility through roles such as Art Director for a Gazette Newspaper in Burlington, before dedicating himself to performance. After honing his comedic and improvisational skills at Toronto’s esteemed Second City Improv Company in the mid-1980s, Jones performed for six months at Expo 86 in Vancouver with Second City. Following Expo 86, Jones settled in Vancouver, swiftly building his television career with early guest appearances in series such as ‘Wiseguy,’ ‘Airwolf,’ and ‘Danger Bay’ in the late 1980s. During this period, he was also an active member of the Vancouver TheatreSports League.
In 2021, Jones further diversified his industry contributions by serving as a producer and co-producer for the TV series ‘Forgotten Masters.’ He is also a recognized host for various industry events, including multiple Leo Awards galas and the BCSS Emerald Eve gala. Jones has made appearances on CBC Radio’s ‘The Debaters,’ showcasing his comedic and intellectual range. Throughout his career, Jones has demonstrated versatility as an actor, writer, and producer, securing multiple awards and nominations for his contributions across different facets of the entertainment industry, highlighting his adaptability and continued relevance in film and television.
