American actor and comedian, Gary Valentine is best known as a veteran standup comic and his regular roles in hit TV comedy series.
Fans of Valentine will know the New Yorker for his famous role as Danny on the hit CBS show The King of Queens. A character he played for nine years and also wrote a number of the show’s episodes. Today, Valentine can still be seen on CBS as Kyle in the comedy series Kevin Can Wait. Of his other TV appearances, Valentine has starred in Chelsea Lately, Fargo, Men of a Certain Age and The Dog Who Saved… He also co-hosted The X Show and enjoyed a standup special for Comedy Central. Valentine’s film roles include appearances in Stuck On You, Zookeeper, Paul Blart: Mall Cop and the independent film Alive N’ Kickin’. As a renowned standup comedian who has performed at comedy clubs across the country for over 20 years, Valentine has made appearances at the Montreal Comedy Festival and on Late Night with Conan O’Brien. Following his immense success, Valentine went on to host Friday Night Videos for NBC.
When he is not performing, Valentine enjoys playing golf, actively participating in charity tournaments every year, including The Drive and Monday After the Masters. Of his philanthropy work, Valentine plays a leading role in the JVK Foundation. The charity, named after his father, supports a wide selection of causes including Retinitis Pigmentosa, a condition his sister suffers with.
