Gemma Sutton

Gemma Sutton is a West End and television actress, recognized for her versatile performances in leading musical theatre productions and television roles. After graduating with a first-class degree in Musical Theatre from the Arts Educational Schools London in 2007, Gemma Sutton quickly established herself in the London theatre scene. In 2008, she performed in the original London production of ‘Gone with the Wind’ at the New London Theatre, taking on the role of Careen O’Hara and serving as the understudy for Melanie. The same year, she featured in the London premiere of ‘Imagine This’ as an understudy for Rebecca, later contributing to its original London cast recording.

More recently, Sutton continued her impactful stage work, portraying Angel in ‘The Rink’ London Revival at Southwark Playhouse in 2018. In 2019, she returned to the West End in ‘Girl From the North Country’ as Katherine Draper and as Young Sally in the London return engagement of ‘Follies.’ Beyond the theatre, Gemma has made notable appearances in television, including the role of Beryl Marsden in the 2014 TV Mini-Series ‘Cilla’ and as Tasha Wright in an episode of ‘Doctors’ in the same year, demonstrating her adaptability across mediums. Further diversifying her artistic endeavors, Gemma Sutton created and performs her own acclaimed cabaret, ‘Unexpected Songs,’ and established The Voice Box, a mobile live music stage, underscoring her commitment to live performance and entrepreneurial spirit.
