Gil Birmingham has built a diverse acting career, transitioning from petrochemical engineering to acclaimed roles in film and television, including the “Twilight Saga” and “Yellowstone.” After being discovered by a talent scout in the early 1980s, Gil Birmingham made his professional debut in Diana Ross’s iconic 1982 music video for ‘Muscles.’ This initial exposure led him to commit to acting, undertaking training with renowned coaches Larry Moss and Charles Conrad. His television career officially began in 1986 with an appearance on an episode of the series Riptide. Over the next two decades, Birmingham steadily built a strong resume with diverse roles, including a recurring role as Oz in Body & Soul (2002) and Older Dogstar in Steven Spielberg’s acclaimed miniseries Into the West (2005).
