Michelin Star chef, restaurateur, TV personality and food critic, Gordon Ramsay is best known as a lively presenter and host of popular TV shows including Hell’s Kitchen and Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares.
Having begun his career working for top chefs Guy Savoy and Joel Robuchon, Ramsay went on to open his first restaurant, Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in 1998, famous for having held three Michelin stars since 2001. Of the many high-profile restaurants Ramsay has since opened around the world, they have been awarded 16 Michelin stars. As a TV presenter, Ramsay first appeared on screens in 2004 with his show Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares and has since gone on to present over 15 immensely popular shows in both the UK and the US, where he also hosted MasterChef. His show The F Word went on to become one of the highest-rated shows on Channel 4.
A prominent figure in the culinary industry, Ramsay has won a number of awards, including three Catey awards for Independent Restaurateur of the Year. In 2006 he was appointed an OBE. An entertaining host and presenter at private events across the country, his cooking demonstrations are considered some of the best in the industry. Associated with several charitable causes, Ramsay has successfully completed a total of 10 marathons in support of the Scottish Spina Bifida Association and has also participated in UNICEF’s Soccer Aid on numerous occasions.
