Grace Lee

Grace Lee was born on June 5, 2006. She began her speed skating career at the Puget Sound Speedskating Club in Tacoma, WA, United States of America, transitioning to the sport after her family moved from Korea. Her early exposure to skating started with figure skating, while her brother pursued speed skating. She was influenced by her family and coaches, and her short track idol is Korean skater Choi Min-Jeong.

Lee’s career has included representing the United States in various international competitions. She was part of the Junior World Championships Team in 2023 and competed in the 2024 World Championships. A significant milestone in her career is being named US Speedskating’s 2022/23 Female Short Track Development Skater of the Year. Her achievements include national titles at age group level. She aims to compete at the Winter Youth Olympic Games and pursue a career in the medical sector.

Her notable performances at the ISU World Junior Short Track Speed Skating Championships include an 8th place finish in the Women 500m in 2023. She has also achieved top placements at domestic events, such as 3rd place overall in the 2024 USS Jr. Championship and the 2022 US Speedskating Jr. National Short Track Championship. Lee has been a member of the Short Track National Team from 2022-2024.
