Greg Austin

Born Gregory Paul Austin on August 2, 1992, in Bournemouth, Dorset, England, UK, Greg Austin began his performance career as a dancer. He trained in various styles including modern, ballet, tap, and street dance, which led him to pursue musical theatre. He expanded his education to include a musical theatre degree at Arts Educational in London, from which he graduated in 2013. Shortly before his graduation, Austin secured his first notable acting role, marking a significant transition in his career focus. This early professional experience provided a foundation as he continued to develop his acting skills across different mediums.

From 2014 to 2016, Austin played a significant role as a young Gordon Selfridge in the ITV series “Mr. Selfridge,” appearing in 30 episodes. This part provided consistent exposure early in his career. In 2016, his career progressed further when he was cast as Charlie Smith, a main character in “Class,” the BBC Three Doctor Who spin-off. His character was an alien posing as a 17-year-old student, a role that required specific character depth and nuance. During this period, Austin also made an appearance in “Law & Order: UK” in 2014 and later in the short film “Into the Surf” in 2015.

Austin continued to expand his acting portfolio with diverse roles. In 2018, he appeared in one episode of the science fiction series “Humans” and had a recurring role in “Endeavour,” playing both Rufus Barton and Kit Hutchens across two episodes. The following year, in 2019, he took on a guest lead role as Anthony Shaw in Stephen Poliakoff’s “Summer of Rockets.” A prominent role in his career came in 2020 when he was cast as Travis Leich in the Amazon Prime series “Hunters,” where he remained a main cast member for 18 episodes until 2023. Austin also has extensive experience in audio productions, reprising his “Class” role as Charlie Smith in audio dramas from 2018 to 2023, and taking on the voice role of Armitage in “Torchwood Soho” from 2022 to 2024. His upcoming projects include the video game “Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles” as Rowland in 2025 and the short film “Shaba Daba” as a producer in 2025. He is also slated to appear in “After the War” as Freddy.
