Greg McElroy has transitioned from a BCS National Champion quarterback and NFL athlete to a prominent college football analyst and media host. After leading Carroll Senior High to a perfect 16-0 season and a Texas 5A state championship in 2005, passing for 4,636 yards and 56 touchdowns, Greg McElroy quickly established himself as a standout talent. His exceptional performance in high school earned him the Texas 5A Player of the Year and an EA Sports All-American distinction that same year. Following this success, McElroy joined the University of Alabama, where he took over as the starting quarterback in 2009, setting the stage for a period of unprecedented success.

Leveraging his profound knowledge and experience in college football, McElroy swiftly embarked on a new career as a college football analyst for ESPN’s SEC Network shortly after his retirement, with his role expanding to cover ESPN games by 2016. McElroy continued to build a prominent media presence, co-hosting the popular show ‘Thinking Out Loud’ on SEC Network for two seasons, where he provided insightful analysis and commentary. Today, he is a leading voice on regional sports radio, currently co-hosting ‘McElroy & Cubelic in the Morning’ on WJOX in Birmingham. Further extending his reach across digital platforms, McElroy also hosts ESPN and Omaha Productions’ ‘Always College Football’ podcast, consistently delivering expert perspectives on the sport to a broad audience.
