Greg Norman

Greg Norman is a legendary professional golfer turned entrepreneur, known for his dominance on the course and his success in business ventures. After turning professional in March 1975, Greg Norman quickly established himself in golf, beginning his career as an assistant professional at Beverley Park Golf Club and later Royal Queensland Golf Club. He secured his first four-round professional victory at the 1976 West Lakes Classic with a five-stroke win. The following year, he joined the European Tour, achieving his first European event victory at the Martini International in Scotland.

Demonstrating his leadership in the broader golf industry, he served as CEO of LIV Golf Investments from 2021 to 2025. Norman’s significant contributions to sport have been recognized with numerous accolades, including his induction into the Sport Australia Hall of Fame in 1988, followed by elevation to ‘Legend’ status in 2007, and induction into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2001. He received the Old Tom Morris Award and the Charlie Bartlett Award in 2008, was inducted into the Queensland Sport Hall of Fame in 2009, and named a Q150 Icon of Queensland that same year. In 2015, the Greg Norman Medal was established in his honor, and he was awarded the Australian Global Icon Award and the National Golf Course Owner’s Association Award of Merit.

Norman is also actively involved in philanthropy, notably through the QBE Shootout, which benefits the CureSearch for Children’s Cancer fund, and the Greg Norman Golf Foundation, providing instruction and support to various groups.
