Greyston Holt

Greyston Holt was born on September 30, 1985, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, under the name Greyston Stefancsik. He was raised on Salt Spring Island, British Columbia, by his parents, Mike and Nancy. His initial exposure to the arts included learning guitar in high school and forming a band, but a high school acting class shifted his focus to performance. This led him to move to Vancouver after graduation to pursue an acting career, marking the commencement of his professional journey in film and television.

Holt’s career began with smaller roles, including an appearance in “Killer Bash” (2005) and Steven Spielberg’s miniseries “Into the West” (2005). He gained early recognition with a recurring role as Ray Prager Jr. in “Durham County” (2007–2010), earning a Leo Award nomination for Best Supporting Performance by a Male in a Dramatic Series. His career continued to build momentum with guest roles in prominent shows “Smallville,” “Blood Ties,” and “The 4400.” A significant turning point came in 2012 when he was cast as Young Emerson Hauser in the Fox series “Alcatraz.” This propelled him to a leading role as Clayton Danvers in the fantasy-horror series “Bitten” (2014–2016) on Space, a role that further solidified his presence in the industry and earned him another Leo Award nomination in 2014.

More recently, Holt has appeared in various projects, showcasing his versatility across different platforms. He played Paulo Bonetto in “The Night Agent” (2023) and Chris in the film “Lou” (2022). Other recent television credits include “Riverdale” (2021–2023) as Glen Scot and “Chesapeake Shores” (2019–2022) as Jay Ross. He has also starred in numerous television films, performing in “A Wedding to Remember” (2021), “Cross Country Christmas” (2020), and “House of Chains” (2022), the latter for which he received a Leo Award nomination for Best Lead Performance. His consistent work in both series and TV movies demonstrates a steady and active career in the entertainment industry.
