Hal Rayle

Hal Rayle, born on January 3, 1955, in Fowler, Indiana, is an American voice actor. He graduated from Ball State University in 1977 with a degree in Telecommunications, Cinematography, and History. Rayle’s career in voice acting spans over four decades, marking his contributions to various animated series and live-action films. He is recognized for pioneering the home studio experience, adapting from analog to digital setups, and has maintained an active presence within the Hollywood voice-over community. He is married to actress Maggie Roswell, and they have one daughter. Together, they operate AudioRnR, a voiceover studio located near their home in Burbank, California.

Throughout his career, Rayle has undertaken numerous voice roles. Notable animated series credits include providing voices for Miss Piggy, Gonzo, and Animal in “Little Muppet Monsters,” Raphael in “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” (1987), the Tin Man in “The Wizard of Oz” television series, and Einstein the Dog in Universal Animation’s “Back to the Future.” He also voiced characters such as Pipes, Snarl, and Shrapnel in “The Transformers” (1984–1986), Deep Six in the Sunbow/Marvel “G.I. Joe” series, and Lieutenant Commander Steele in “SWAT Kats: The Radical Squadron.” His film work includes recreating the voice of the Predator in “Predator 2” (1990), providing vocalizations for all Ghoulies in “Ghoulies II” (1988), and voicing Marvin the Martian in commercials for Air Jordan.

Rayle’s significant achievements also encompass his work as a sound designer, such as his predator vocalization for “Predator 2” (1990) and marsupial vocalization for “The Adventures of Ford Fairlane” (1990). He has contributed to various short films and television episodes up to recent years, demonstrating ongoing engagement in the entertainment industry.
