Sofia Carson

Sofia Carson, born Sofia Lauren Daccarett Char on April 10, 1993, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is an American actress and singer. She began her career with a guest appearance on the Disney Channel series *Austin & Ally* in 2014, followed by a recurring role on MTV’s *Faking It*. Her breakthrough came in 2015 when she was cast as Evie, the daughter of the Evil Queen, in Disney’s musical fantasy film *Descendants*. This role led to her reprising the character in subsequent sequels and related animated series, solidifying her presence in the Disney franchise. Concurrently, Carson launched her music career, releasing her debut solo single “Love Is the Name” with Hollywood Records and Republic Records in 2016. She continued to release music, including collaborations with artists like Alan Walker and R3hab, and debuted her self-titled studio album in 2022.
