Hollywood legend Harrison Ford has teamed up with the traditional Scottish whisky brand Glenmorangie for a new global campaign, 'Once Upon a Time in Scotland.' Ford, who plays himself in the humorous brand campaign, also participates in a new short film marking Glenmorangie's official sponsorship with Formula 1.

Harrison Ford was born on July 13, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois. His mother, Dorothy Nidelman, was a radio actress, and his father, Christopher Ford, was an actor who later became an advertising executive. Ford attended Maine Township High School East and later Ripon College in Wisconsin, where he pursued an interest in acting to overcome shyness. After moving to Los Angeles in 1964, he signed with Columbia Pictures. Initially, his acting career involved minor roles in films and television series such as “Ironside” (1967) and “The Virginian” (1962). Facing limited opportunities, Ford turned to professional carpentry to support his family. His career experienced a significant turning point when he was cast as Bob Falfa in George Lucas’s “American Graffiti” (1973). This collaboration led to his casting as Han Solo in “Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope” (1977), a role that brought him international recognition and marked the beginning of his rise to stardom.
Ford’s status as a leading actor was further cemented by his portrayal of Indiana Jones in “Raiders of the Lost Ark” (1981), a character he would reprise in multiple successful sequels. He demonstrated his versatility with dramatic roles and earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor for his work in “Witness” (1985), where he played John Book.
