Kian Lawley

Kian Robert Lawley was born on September 2, 1995, in Sioux City, Iowa, and later moved to San Clemente, California, at the age of five. His career began in 2010 with the launch of his personal YouTube channel, ‘superkian13’, building an audience through various content forms. In 2011, he co-founded ‘KianSam13’ with Sam Pottorff, followed by joining the collaborative channel ‘Our2ndLife’ (O2L) in 2012. O2L gained significant traction, accumulating over 2.8 million subscribers and embarking on a 19-city tour in 2014 before the group disbanded later that year. In January 2015, Lawley continued his digital career by co-founding ‘KianAndJc’ with JC Caylen.

Lawley transitioned into acting with his feature film debut in 2015’s ‘The Chosen’. He subsequently appeared in several films, including ‘Shovel Buddies’ (2016), ‘Boo! A Madea Halloween’ (2016), ‘Boo 2! A Madea Halloween’ (2017), ‘Before I Fall’ (2017), and ‘Monster Party’ (2018). In television, he starred in ‘H8TERS’ (2017) and the web series ‘Zac & Mia’ (2017–2019), for which he received a Daytime Emmy Award nomination. His work in ‘Before I Fall’ earned him a Teen Choice Award for Choice Movie Actor: Drama in 2017. Later, in 2020, he took on a main role in the TV series ‘Perfect Commando’.

Returning to his YouTube roots, Lawley and Caylen expanded their content with the launch of ‘The Reality House’ in July 2019, a ‘Big Brother’-style competition featuring other YouTubers. The series proved successful, amassing over 25 million views across its first season and leading to a second season in January 2020 with an increased prize, further solidifying their presence as content producers. His ongoing YouTube endeavors and acting engagements continue to define his professional path.
