Kevin Connolly

Kevin Connolly was born on March 5, 1974, in New York City, New York. His career began at a young age, appearing in television commercials. In 1990, he secured his first film role as Chickie in “Rocky V.” This was followed by a co-starring role with Tobey Maguire in the short-lived Fox sitcom “Great Scott!” in 1992, which earned him a Young Artist Award nomination. He continued to build his acting portfolio with appearances in “The Beverly Hillbillies” (1993) and guest roles in television series such as “Wings,” “Getting By,” and “ER.”

Connolly gained wider recognition for his role as Ryan Malloy in the television sitcom “Unhappily Ever After,” where he starred from 1995 to 1999. During this period, he also made his directorial debut, helming six episodes of the series. His acting career continued with roles in films like “Don’s Plum” (1995), “John Q.” (2002), “Antwone Fisher” (2002), and “The Notebook” (2004). His most prominent acting role came in 2004 as Eric Murphy, or “E,” in the HBO series “Entourage,” a role he reprised in the 2015 film adaptation. For his performance in “Entourage,” he received a Golden Globe Award nomination in 2009.

Beyond acting, Connolly expanded his directing career with his full-length movie directorial debut, “Gardener of Eden,” which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2007. He has also directed music videos, such as “Camera Phone” by The Game featuring Ne-Yo in 2008, and episodes for television series including “Entourage” (2010–2011), “The Oath” (2019), and “Snatch” (2018). His directorial work on the 2018 film “Gotti,” starring John Travolta, marked another significant milestone, although it received notable critical reception. Connolly is also involved in podcast production, having founded ActionPark Media in 2020.
